Yea it works pretty good but very tricky to set up, start reading here http://dsspros.com/forum/nfusion-hd-...tml#post368632 and then read some more

Not sure what edward is talking about with NOI.....

You need the broadcom compile. The shared will probably work just fine. Poroto40 already posted a script to autoload xx-client at boot on the XFTA.

How about a step by step guide , how to setup x-fta with your xx-client it would be great to eliminate the computer from the equation.

I don't own one. I just compiled them and hoped for the best. I have confirmations that the atheros and broadcom compiles are working on various routers, including the xfta. There are just so many ways you can do it.

If your xfta is running OpenWRT you could use winscp and copy the xx-client files (xx-client, xx-client.ini, servers.ini and caid.ini) to /root then in the winSCP change permissions on xx-client to 0755.

After that go into the OpenWRT interface, go to system tab, then startup. At the bottom you can enter commands in to be executed when the router boots. Just insert in there:

    /root/xx-client &

    Before the "exit 0".

This is probably the best I can do. I am doing this from memory, I am familiar with routers, just don't use them for xx-client.

    For Windows + XFTA + OpenWRT + http://dsspros.com/forum/attachments...com_shared.zip:

    1. Download winSCP

    Code:
    http://winscp.net/download/winscp515.zip
    2. Extract the files to somewhere on your computer

    3. Launch WinSCP.exe

    4 Select File Protocol: SCP

    5. Enter your router's IP, username and password

    6. You should start in /root

    7. Drag xx-client, xx-client.ini, servers.ini and caid.ini over to the right pane (from the zip file xx-client_v2.4.156.282-broadcom_shared.zip)

    8. Right click on xx-client in the right pane and select "Properties"

    9. Change "Octal:" to 0755

    10. Right click xx-client.ini and select "edit" to make changes for your setup

    11. Close edit screen and tell it to save

    12. Right click servers.ini and select "edit" to make changes for your servers

    13. Close edit screen and tell it to save

    14. Close WinSCP

    15. In a browser go to your OpenWRT web interface

    16. Click on System tab

    17. Click on Startup tab

    18. Insert the following:

    /root/xx-client &

    Before the "exit 0".

    click "Submit"

    19. Make sure libstdcpp is installed

    20. Click on System tab

    21. Click on Software tab

    22. Click update packages

    23. Wait till that is done

    24. In the Find Package box type "libstdcpp"

    25. Click the install link beside the libstdcpp listing

    26. Done!

Don't mean to hijack but I am trying the same. In the Gargoyle interface in the x-fta there is a SYSTEM tab but no STARTUP tab that I can find to enter the data.

None of that is needed. Just what I mentioned. IP, username, password and protocol (SCP).
