4 weeks after the issue of being dead (whatever that is) you report it????
Why does your dealer not support it? Oh wait.... you got it from a unauthorised source right.

Have you tried it in another outlet at home? Have you left it unplugged overnight then tried to turn it on 24hrs later.
Do you have the back switch accidently turned off?

Do you have power going through it and it turns on?

Maybe if you explain what "dead" is I nor anyone else would not be guessing at what kind of help you need.

If it is dead the first thing to try is a different plug outlet.

Yes I tried it in another outlet, still the same.

Dead means no lights in the front, no picture on the TV.

I tried connecting to PC with serial cable, gives message on the loader box in error status/ not on.

do you know anything about circuit boards, if so open the box up and test to see if your power supply has any voltage

Had the same thing happen, when I turned the rear switch off then on it dumped the tsop.Believe it was a bug in the 175 file, others had the same results. When checking though the power board and fusing all was good.It does have the terminal pins to j tag it,without a released program.Looks like you are screwed if you cant return it.

All of these new HD FTA boxes does not seem to have the quality that the old FTA boxes used to have (eg. SV 8000HD, NF HD and VS9000HD). That is why these newer boxes are so much cheaper.

Many people have had this problem of not powering up even on Dreamlink HD and now the Jynxbox. Quality is not there for these new boxes and that is why they are cheaper.

Even the EPG guide are so much better on the old boxes compared to the new ones. You'd figure the advance in technology would make the EPG better on these new units, instead its getting worse. Can not understand it.

The Dreamlink HD has been showing incorrect programming information in EPG since day one. This glitch still has not been fixed, and its been almost a year since the receiver was released. You start to think that maybe no fix exists for this problem.

Thumbs up Re: Jynxbox dead --does npot power up.

on the back of the jynx there is a spdif port pull out that plug and see if it is flashing red, if it is then the box is powered up.

well let me guess. You didn't buy it from a real dealer but either from some clown on fleabay or direct from China. Either one and you will not have support. Real dealers offer support. My guess is you got it direct from China and possibly they sold you a prototype in a new case
